“The Author of the novel is Eric Jordan.  I have heard of him before, but not as novelist…rather as a top secret agent in the CIA.  In 2000 Eric Jordan appeared on the world stage again, this time as an author of a novel published in London, Operation Hebron. All the information on the cover regarding the author is accurate without any exaggeration.  A close friend of mine read it and in turn gave it to me to read. It never occurred to me that, as a novel,  it would be of any interest to me, so it was a few weeks before I read it.  One night while looking for something light to read before going to bed, I came across this book.  Surprisingly, I did not go to bed that night until I finished reading all 370 pages!  The author is an expert on life and people.  Definitely, the scenes and events of the novel excite one’s imagination.  However, the fact that such imagination overlaps with reality and vice versa is what is even more interesting!”
-Mohammed Hassanein Heikal, Political Analyst, Weghat Nazar, Cairo, July 2001

"Super First Novel - Jordan has crafted a tightly woven plot that is entirely believable and bordering on prescient (given the 2000 Presidential election). There is little doubt that the author's spy-craft experiences have found their way into this story; the details are too rich to be based on imagination alone. The book has all the ingredients for success--excitement, intelligence, realism, and it grabs your attention LeCarre style. Hopefully there will be more books of kind from this talented author."

"Best Since Tom Clancy - Fast-moving thriller full of suspense - I could not put it down until dawn. In writing a post Cold War spy novel in the best tradition of an earlier Tom Clancy, Jordan has captured the methods and treacheries of International Intelligence Organizations and their agents. His descriptions of settings, cities, ports, airplanes and the offices of high politics are accurate to the last detail. He has been there and captured it for the reader. A MUST read.."
- Robert Dow's Public Review

"Heckuva book. Page-turner. Ought to be a movie."
- Courier-Post, New Jersey

"A new Ian Fleming - A terrific, sophisticated thriller written by someone who clearly understands the espionage business. The characters are exciting, plausible and colorful. This is a natural for TV and/or a movie. The author has a comprehensive knowledge of politics and business which puts him centerstage in the world we live in. Please write more, Mr. Jordan."
- Amb. William J Vanden Heuvel, New York City

"There’s an intriguing premise buried inside this first thriller by an acknowledged former U.S. spy and adviser on terrorism to President Reagan […] the basic plot contains a lot of suspense and a believably conflicted FBI agent named Brenda Straus. […] Straus’s opponents include another well-sketched female character: Jackie Marcovic, a sexy assassin. […] a good novel – strong characters, a solid plot and an air of authority about its subject…"

"A page-turner! You have to buy this book! Before reading Operation Hebron I only had time to read two major fiction writers consistently. From now on it will be three, including Eric Jordan."
- Jerry Pierce, KMPH-FM/KTRB-AM Fresno, California

"Congratulations to Eric Jordan. Operation Hebron is the finest spy book I have ever read. The organization and unfolding of the continuing suspense left me in awe of your masterpiece. It was solid reading and filled with incredible intrigue."
- Trudy Paul, Alexandria, VA

"As a frequent flyer and a reader of many types of fiction, I was delighted to come across Operation Hebron. In my view, it ranks with Day of the Jackal, one of the best yarns of the international terror genre in the last twenty years. The villain, Jackie, is especially well drawn with a dark and sinister quality as well as moments of being a 'real person'.

The foreign conspirators were credible and appropriately untuned to the nuance of American politics. The White House and political types were right on the mark! In my career as an educator and consultant in Washington, I have seen endless examples where personal friendships between the President and poor judgment by some of his friends in high level jobs made for serious trouble.

The tech stuff is in the book was real world and the suspense taut to the last few pages. A great read!"

"...an exciting reading adventure. Through the alchemy of fiction, Eric Jordan admits us to a hidden world of intrigue where he won many fateful duels - a world populated by progeny of both Dr. Moriarty and Sherlock Holmes; by potentates, poseurs, spies, and assassins; by women who allure and endanger; and by a few men equal to them all.... And they all make guides to an exciting reading adventure!"
- John Barron, author of KGB and other international bestsellers on espionage

"... the author knows espionage, counter-intelligence, and covert action - and how they are handled and mishandled by national leaders - as most leading fiction writers only vaguely imagine. Operation Hebron is a page-turner in which the reader feels the reality of the world of international intrigue... Jordan - a master of intelligence - has seen and done it all."
- Don Lavey, Special Agent FBI, Chief of Anti-Terrorism at INTERPOL, Lyon

"I have just finished reading 'Operation Hebron'! Congratulations Eric Jordan!  It is a great book..very much up to date these days.  I love Brenda's brainstorming mind; Le Valet, Jack, J, and Jackie.  As William Casey writes "...Jordan's long productive service is recognized by all."
Thank you; great reading
